Financial Systems Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY

The Financial Analyst will be a “utility” player for the finance group, supporting global financial planning, reporting and analysis. We’re looking for a driven, enthusiastic self-starter who has strong attention to detail and excels in building out data warehouse structures in a SQL Server environment.  The right candidate will have a strong track record of creating and maintaining customized, complex reports and models using the various systems currently in place in conjunction with advanced Excel capabilities to provide the information necessary for decision making up to the executive level.

Essential Functions Statement(s); Under the Direction of Group Executive Leadership:

  • Serve as a business side administrator of financial planning and reporting systems
  • Develop and produce key complex financial reports and metrics using information from various data cubes and reporting systems
  • Responsible for extracting data and creating reports that are accurate, efficient and easily updated by the user
  • Interact with all areas of the organization including Operations, Supply Chain, IT and Finance departments to ensure that information is captured and reported correctly
  • Support global budgeting, forecasting and month end activities
  • Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality 

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced proficiency/guru level skills in MS Excel
  • Able to extract pertinent data from ERP system to support above duties 
  • 3-10 years of SQL Server experience building and supporting data warehouse structures
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling and problem-solving skills
  • Financial statement preparation experience 
  • All phases of the modeling process - research design, data extraction and cleaning, model building and validation. 
  • Able to work independently, with minimal supervision  
  • Proactive, strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Appreciation for continuous improvement 
  • Ability to complete projects timely and accurately 
  • Must be detail oriented with strong organizational skills 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Desire and ability to work with cross-functional teams, discuss complex accounting and finance subjects with non-financial personnel 
  • Team player and self-motivated

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: BA in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science or related area 
Experience:  Prefer experience with supporting complex manufacturing organizations

Computer Skills: Microsoft Office including strong Excel and Word skills; Experience with Adaptive Planning, preferred
