Account/Programme Manager

We are a market leader in Aerospace composite manufacturing, working with exciting technologies and materials to design and build some of the world’s most advanced composite structures. We are seeking an experienced Account / Programme Manager to join our team at our sites in Crewkerne, Somerset.

The Account / Programme Manager is responsible for both the internal and external (customer, stakeholder and subcontractor) aspects required for the execution, delivery and ongoing management of the assigned accounts / programmes and New Product Introduction projects to ensure budgeted sales, cost and delivery targets are achieved.


 - Manage the interface between Tods Aerospace and one or more specific customer organisations.

 - Develop and apply a thorough understanding and knowledge base of the customer organisation, key thrusts, political landscape, key influencers at all levels.

 - Identify business opportunities for Tods Aerospace, and by forming relationships with key influencers, flush out prospective SoR’s / bid opportunities.

 - Liaise with the Business Development function to share customer intelligence and support the progression of prospects as needed.

 - Drive NPI projects & production programmes through the business ensuring that resources are assigned to meet customer DSA and quality requirements, and cost budgets.

 - Provide accurate, clear and timely information to the customer & Tods Aerospace senior management, in a format defined by the customer and business requirements.

This role has some direct line management responsibilities aligned with ensuring delivery of account / programme objectives.


 - Relevant degree or equivalent experience.

 - Extensive Engineering and Project Management experience.

 - General understanding of composite materials and processes.

 - Strong customer focus; able to effectively balance sustainable customer satisfaction with the long term interests of the business

 - Compliant with business process and approach.

 - Able to effectively communicate and present across all levels, both personally and in written formats; excellent influencing and networking skills.

 - Develops productive working relationships with internal colleagues and external parties; working on own initiative, as part of a team and in liaison with other teams.

 - Strong planning and organising skills; able to prioritise and effectively manage a varied workload.

 - Practical and commercial approach to problem-solving and contingency planning.

 - Safety-conscious approach to work.

 - Sound commercial skills and awareness; able to understand contracts and provide an input into contracts where required.
